BJJ Escapes runs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training camps in carefully chosen destinations around the world. Our events combine structured, high-level jiu-jitsu training with travel, comfortable accommodation, and time to actually enjoy where you are.
Each camp is built around quality coaching, plenty of mat time, and a balanced schedule that allows you to train hard without burning out. We work with experienced, respected instructors and choose locations that support training, recovery, and a good overall experience.
BJJ Escapes is for people who want to improve their jiu-jitsu, meet like-minded practitioners, and enjoy a good time both on and off the mats. Whether you’re an experienced competitor or a committed hobbyist, our camps are designed to help you get better, connect with others, and come away with a memorable trip.

MEET LUKE
Hi I'm Luke Fraser, founder of BJJ Escapes and a very average purple belt who likes to train hard and enjoys having a good time!
Outside the mats, I spent the last decade working in mining and knew I wanted something different. BJJ Escapes grew out of that. The idea was simple: travel, train with people I respect, and spend time with others who enjoy jiu-jitsu as much as I do.
The goal isn’t perfection or hype—it’s quality training, good locations, and real experiences with good people. Whether it’s running camps, checking out new locations, or dropping into open mats while travelling, I’m here to train, explore, and build something solid with a like-minded crew.
I’m not chasing being the best—just building something cool, having a good time along the way, and bringing people together on and off the mats.
My interest in both jiu-jitsu and travel is what led to BJJ Escapes. After taking part in a number of seminars and camps over the years, I started to realise this was something I could do as a profession — and put my own spin on it. I’d seen what worked, what didn’t, and what actually made an experience worthwhile.
BJJ Escapes came from wanting to build events I’d genuinely want to attend myself. The focus is on solid, practical jiu-jitsu, taught by competitors and coaches who know their stuff.
Location matters too. These events are designed to break routine, train properly, and have a good time getting out, seeing the sights, and enjoying what each location has to offer. There’s space to work hard on the mats and plenty of time to relax, explore, and connect with people who share the same interest.
BJJ Escapes is about well-run trips, good training, good people and having a good time.
